Affirming therapy for Trans, Non-Binary, Queer & Neurodivergent teens and adults

Real support. No performance. Just a place to be you.

Healing happens when we feel safe, seen, and supported, and this is the sort of dynamic I work to nurture in the therapeutic relationship. I know what it’s like to hide parts of yourself because you don’t know who you can trust, and to not want to have the added burden of having to educate and explain who you are. Whether you’re coming to therapy to sort through identity questions or for help in navigating identity-based discrimination- or just need a safe, queer-friendly, neurodivergent-affirming space to process other experiences, this is a space where you can truly be you.

Maybe you’re tired of reacting to triggering situations and want to feel capable of responding in a way that aligns with your values. You might be really hard on yourself and feel like you deserve to feel this way. You can’t stop thinking about things that have happened to you- or things that could happen. You avoid doing things that could trigger you because you don’t know how else to cope. Maybe it feels like if someone really saw you, something bad would happen. There’s a constant mental checking to try and prevent your fears from coming true. You apologize more than you need to, and you know it bothers others, but you can’t stop. You have a lot of “why” questions and are looking for understanding. You know what is logically true, but can’t get your feelings to catch up. If any of this sounds like you, I would be honored to support you.

What you can expect

Therapy with me is about co-creating a safe space together: where nothing is off the table, where your identity is affirmed, and where we move at a pace that feels safe and grounding for you. Many people have had experiences in therapy that replicate harmful dynamics that exist elsewhere in their lives. Feeling like your voice doesn’t matter, like you have to go along with things that don’t work for you, and a sense of working against weird power dynamics instead of collaborating with someone on your level. Transparency and collaboration matter, especially in a world where power differences often go unchecked. My style is warm, grounded, connected, and curious. I love using humor, often employ analogies and metaphors, and find it fascinating to mold concepts and skills into what fits your brain. I know therapy is a big decision, and finding the right fit matters. If you’d like to see if I might be a good fit, I’d love to schedule a short video call for you to get a feel. More questions? For teens and their families

I work with LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent teens (12 and up) navigating identity, relationships, and emotional overwhelm. I also support family members — especially parents — who want to learn how to better affirm and connect with their teen.

You might come to therapy for:

  • Support around gender identity and expression

  • Help navigating school, friends, relationships, or social dysphoria

  • Exploring neurodivergence and interacting with systems that weren’t built for your neurotype

  • Conversations about your transition journey

  • Family education, resources, and planning

Parents: If you’re unsure where to start, that’s okay. I’ll meet you where you are and help you show up for your teen in informed, compassionate, and truly supportive ways.

Supervision, speaking, and training

In addition to client work, I offer:

  • Clinical supervision for LMSW’s in Texas

  • Training and consultation for clinicians wanting to work with trans, queer, and neurodivergent populations

  • Workshops and public speaking on gender-affirming care and trauma-informed practice

  1. Recorded training available: Supporting Transgender Interstate Refugees—a 2-hour, on-demand course for clinicians providing gender-affirming, trauma-informed care. Access here

Feel free to reach out if you’re a therapist looking for supervision or a professional interested in training for your organization. I’d love to connect.
