Our Services
Individual Therapy
Virtual therapy sessions available for children ages 8 and up, adolescents, young adults, and adults residing in Colorado, Massachusetts, New Mexico, and Texas. For children and adolescents, I also provide coaching to caregivers in session as needed.
Although the sessions are virtual, clients must be physically in the state of Colorado, Massachusetts, New Mexico, or Texas at the time of the session due to licensing restrictions.
What can you expect?
It can be daunting to start therapy and choose to be vulnerable in that space. I get that, and I strive to build safety in our relationship over time. I think transparency is a big part of safety, so this is what you can expect in a session with me:
I strive to make our virtual therapy space feel safe, warm, and inviting, and I’ll check in with you to see if there are any sensory needs or safety needs when we start our session. My goal is to meet you where you are in that moment, and provide support as we walk through whatever comes up, together.
I operate from a feminist, trauma-informed, person-centered, and strengths-based lens. This means I look at the whole person and their intersecting identities and how that functions in their world; I prioritize your felt sense of safety and collaborate with you as an active and empowered participant in your own healing; I see you as a person, not a diagnosis; and I believe you have within you so much goodness and strength that can help you to heal. I view my role as a co-conspirator, and hold sacred the gift of walking alongside you through the shadows.
How I can help
I believe in meeting people where they are and partnering with clients to find creative pathways through stuck places. I value the therapeutic relationship and believe safety and connection are the foundation for healing.
I don’t believe in a one size fits all therapeutic approach, because our experiences as humans are nuanced and unique. I value your perspective and choice and love getting creative in finding what works for each individual.

Assessment and letter for gender-affirming care
Some trans and gender-expansive folks seeking gender-affirming medical care may need a letter from a qualified mental health professional to obtain affirming care. I provide this service based on the Gender ASSET model, and engage in assessment to ensure you have what you need to make an informed choice about your care, and to help you prepare for this part of your transition. I recognize the gatekeeping involved in our current model of care and seek to mitigate the harm of this process by centering your needs, respecting your autonomy, and offering some sliding scale and pro bono slots.
A limited number of slots are available on a monthly basis for this service. The number of sessions needed to complete this assessment varies depending on the unique needs of the client. However, most clients are able to complete this in one session. Some clients opt to begin therapy with me after this process, but there is no obligation to do so. This service is not therapy, and therapy is not a requirement to obtain a letter in support of gender-affirming medical care. Virtual availability only; clients must physically be in Colorado, Massachusetts, New Mexico, or Texas at the time of the session due to licensing restrictions.

How are you able to offer this as a Master’s level clinician?
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I am permitted to diagnose using the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual for Mental Disorders (DSM-IV TR), provided I have received appropriate training, in the states of Colorado, Massachusetts, New Mexico, and Texas.
What kind of training and experience do you have?
I have completed multiple diagnostic training courses and operate from a neuro-affirming, culturally informed perspective. I have been working with neurodiverse clients for over five years.
Will my school or job accept a diagnosis from a Master’s level clinician?
The short answer: it depends. You should always check with the respective party to determine the qualifications needed to accept a diagnosis. If you need a diagnosis for purposes of creating an IEP, certifying disability, or use for any other state-funded entity, you should seek out assessment from a PhD level clinician, such as a psychologist.
What’s the difference between this assessment and the assessment psychologists provide?
This is an assessment for Autism and ADHD only
Psychologists complete additional tests that are not required for a diagnosis of Autism or ADHD, such as an Intellectual (IQ) Test.
The results of this assessment may not be used to certify disability or create an IEP plan. Most doctors and colleges will accept a Master’s level diagnosis, but you should always check directly with your provider or institution to confirm.
Many psychologists have long waiting lists and higher costs.
How long does the assessment take? When will I receive my report?
The formal assessment occurs in two sessions for a total of 3 hours. The full assessment process is structured as follows:
Client completes self-report assessments
Clinical interview- clinician conducts remaining assessments clinical interview- approximately 2 hours
Clinician scores assessments and writes report
Feedback session- clinician collaboratively discusses results with client, clarifies incomplete or missing data, shares diagnostic impression.
Clinician finalizes and sends report to client.
Assessment reports are available between 1-2 weeks from the completion of the feedback session.
Will insurance cover this?
I accept Aetna PPO plans, and bill assessments using several CPT codes that capture each step of the assessment process as captured above. I recommend checking with your insurance provider to determine coverage, and I am happy to provide the list of CPT codes used. All other insurance is considered out of pocket as I am not in network with any other plans. I can provide a ‘superbill’ for reimbursement. It is your responsibility to determine your out of network coverage.
