About
Devyn Box, LCSW-S
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Supervisor (LCSW-S) and EMDR-certified therapist dedicated to helping people navigate trauma, anxiety, mood disorders, and identity-related challenges with compassion and clarity. As a trans, non-binary, queer clinician who’s part of the communities I serve, I create a space where you can show up as your full, authentic self. I approach therapy from an attachment-focused, neurodiversity-affirming lens, creating a space where your full self is not just welcomed, but celebrated.
My work is especially grounded in gender-affirming care and LGBTQIA+ mental health support. Whether you are seeking healing, clarity, or tools to manage life’s challenges, I’m here to support you on that path.
Professional background
At Devyn Box Therapy, LLC, I provide affirming, trauma-informed care to adolescents and adults. My clinical practice is centered on gender-affirming support, trauma recovery, mood and anxiety disorders, and navigating life as a neurodivergent individual.
In addition to private practice, I served as a Behavioral Health Evaluator with the University of Colorado Health system, conducting emergency psychiatric evaluations and collaborating with medical teams to ensure patients received the care they need.
I have substantial experience treating adults, teens, and kids struggling with complex trauma, ADHD, depression, anxiety, and domestic violence. I am experienced in CBT, DBT, EMDR, and Motivational Interviewing.
My background also includes founding and directing the Trans Empowerment Coalition, a grassroots program created to support and uplift the transgender community through direct services, social connection, and education, with a core tenet that community is the cornerstone of growing resilience and part of the pathway to collective liberation. I frequently serve as a guest lecturer, panelist, and workshop facilitator, speaking on allyship and best practices for clinical care with LGBTQIA+ clients.
Therapy tailored to your needs
Therapy with me is collaborative and client-centered. I combine evidence-based practices with lived experience-informed insight to meet your unique needs and goals. Whether we’re processing trauma through EMDR, building emotional regulation skills, or exploring identity in an affirming space, our work together is guided by your pace and priorities.
I offer online therapy sessions in Colorado, Massachusetts, New Mexico, and Texas. I also provide assessments and letters of support for gender-affirming medical care in accordance with WPATH standards, and offer consultation and training to clinicians on LGBTQIA+ and trauma-informed practices.
