Supervision
I am licensed to provide supervision to Master's level social workers in Texas, and offer group and individual supervision. My style is warm, relational, and person-centered, and my goal is to help you feel empowered and confident in your clinical skills. I also love helping clinicians prepare for their clinical board exam, and can provide a tailored approach to your specific learning needs.
For more information about group supervision, please book an appointment below, and we will be in touch. Once we reach a threshold of interest, we will reach out to discuss next steps. This is to ensure we have enough group members to make this a fruitful experience. This group will be open to Texas residents only.

Speaking Engagements
I am available for speaking engagements on topics including LGBTQIA+ issues, sharing my personal story of coming out, and a number of topics related to mental health for children, teens, and adults. I've worked with community non-profits, school systems, employee resource groups, and more, and offer a welcoming and engaging style, with topics customized to your specific needs and goals.

Professional Training
Available on demand, this training will help clinicians supporting trans and gender-expansive clients to enhance their internal and external senses of safety, access resources, and cope with ongoing stressors. Led by a trans clinician with lived experience of interstate migration, this 2 hour training will cover several theoretical frameworks for conceptualizing this population's challenges, explore historical experiences of resilience, and equip clinicians with practical, ready-to-use clinical tools. No CEs are available, however participants will receive a certificate of completion.

You may have had the experience of getting so deeply pulled into an emotion, memory, or thought, that it feels impossible to escape and get back to the present moment. This could look like feeling disconnected from yourself, things around you feeling unreal, or feeling like you are reliving something awful that happened to you in the past. Or it could feel like your thoughts are going so fast you can’t catch them, having feelings of panic, or feeling like your head is spinning. Have you ever wondered what it means to “feel your feelings”? Or how to actually do that? What does this really look like, in practice? I often liken this quandary to a scene in one of my favorite shows, Schitt’s Creek. David and Moira are in the kitchen making a family recipe, and the instructions say to “fold in the cheese”. Moira tells David this step in the recipe, and he asks what “folding in the cheese” actually means… and Moira just repeats the instructions verbatim, clearly not comprehending what this means, further irritating David.
Today we are kicking off a series on coping skills with one of my favorites: Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR)- also known as “the squeezies”. This tool is great for releasing stress, anger, or anxiety. I love to use this when there is a lot of energy or intense emotion that needs to be let out.
