FAQs

I’m not trans or queer. Can I still see you for therapy?

Absolutely yes! While I specialize in providing support to the trans and queer community, I see people from all walks of life. I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to see if we’re a good fit. Click the Client Portal button at the top of the screen to schedule your consult.

Do you see couples or families?

I do not, but can provide referrals to trusted providers who do see couples and families.

Why don’t you take insurance?

Many therapists, including myself, can’t afford to accept the reimbursements that insurance companies offer while still providing the quality of care we believe our clients deserve. I am out of network with all insurance companies, but can provide a superbill which you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. I also partner with Mentaya, a service that submits claims on behalf of clients, and you can find more information on this here. In an effort to provide more accessible services while maintaining the quality of care my clients deserve, I reserve a few sliding scale spots for individual therapy, offer group therapy at a significantly lower cost than individual, with sliding scale options available, and provide gender-affirming care assessments and accompanying letters on a sliding scale basis. If cost is a barrier, and I’m unable to accommodate your needs, I am happy to help with a referral to another provider.

What is your cancellation policy?

I ask that clients notify me at least 24 hours in advance of a cancellation. Clients are allowed one “free pass” per calendar year, and otherwise are responsible for the full session fee if cancelling less than 24 hours in advance or no-showing.

What are your hours?

Beginning April 1, 2024, my hours will be as follows:
